Linda Stopps - ex Franchisee
Thank you for six and a half years as an Original Poster Company franchisee!
I am writing to thank you for your help and support in the six and a half years that I was a Franchisee for the Brentwood area.
Having been interested in a greeting card franchise I decided to visit the
National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham in 2003. There were many such franchises exhibiting but their cards did not appeal. As I knew that I couldn't sell a product that I personally wouldn't buy, I was very excited when I saw what OPC had to offer. It was bright and colourful and there was a large range to choose from. It was obvious that a lot of thought and effort had gone into the design. I then had discussions with the exhibitors on the stand and it was decided that I would have a further meeting at Head Office. This was very informal but informative and resulted in me taking over the franchise in December 2003.
From day one I was helped along the way and I always knew that I could pick up the phone and there was someone to listen to my queries, however small. Successive Business Development Managers have always been a tremendous help in giving direction and support without laying down specific rules and still allowing individual freedom. The support staff have also played their part in maintaining the feeling that although this was essentially my business we were part of a team and they would go the extra mile to help. And all with a sense of humour!
Various things have changed over the years and new things have been introduced - the Originet has been enhanced, the introduction of regional meetings have been a great success and the product continues to expand and improve, all of which have added to OPC' s continuing success.
Although I am now retiring and moving on I shall look back fondly on my time with OPC. It was one of the best things I ever did!
