Chris & Amanda Larkin, Franchisee, Bournemouth & Salisbury

I have been associated with The Original Poster Company for over 15 years, firstly as a retailer and then as a franchisee. My wife and I owned a Village Store and Post Office in Somerset for 12 years. 

During that time, after a quality presentation by the then franchisee for that area, we installed a display of Animal Magic, Elephant House and Humour cards.  The quality of the cards and the sales were very good, to the point that we became the best retailer for the franchisee selling 200-300 cards per month at no capital outlay.  We were very impressed!

When I became 50 my wife and I decided on another career change so, after selling our Post Office, we decided to purchase an OPC franchise covering the Salisbury area based upon our experiences with our dealings of the cards.  We have built up a very loyal customer base in this time and worked hard in gaining more space so that our sales have increased.

Two years ago we purchased our second franchise covering the Bournemouth area and now have relocated to West Dorset.  We have decided to sell the Salisbury franchise to concentrate on building up our Bournemouth franchise to the same level.
